" The alarm goes off at 4am. I like to arrive early so that I can have everything ready for my customers. After 18 months they are more like old friends. You get to know what they are like and have their order ready for them. It's nice to start their day off right; it makes them feel special.

We remember our first day, confronted with a hissing machine, pastries to bake, ordering from suppliers, wages and bookkeeping. We thought we'd never last the week! Well we did, and with Puccino's a phonecall away help is always at hand. In fact we will shortly be opening our second franchise.

It's hard work; you have to be dedicated. But it's nice to be your own boss and the more effort you put in the greater the rewards."
